Thanks for signing up to be a Cat Host for the Bowmanville Cat Tour! We're so excited that your cat(s) will be part of the tour on Caturday, October 10 from 3–5pm, with a block party to follow (location TBD).

📸 Cat Photos
If you haven’t yet, please follow the directions below to send a photo of your cat. We'll use your photo on the tour map and on social media to help attendees get excited to meet your feline celebrity.
In the email, please include:
One high-quality photo of each participating cat. Please only send one photo per cat — we have a lot of participants!
Please label each filename with your street address and cat name to make it easier for us to add your photo to the map. For example: 4646NSeeleyAve_Captain.png

📍 The Cat Map
We're mapping all of our participating cats and planning the best routes through Bowmanville. We will share it as soon as possible so you can confirm your cat’s information is accurate. As we get closer to the event, we'll share the finalized route, tour-day details, and anything else you need to know.
For now, make sure we've received your cat's photo for the map.
👻 A Cat Costume Contest
There will be a cat costume contest – along with prizes – at the tour. We’re working through the details, so stay tuned for more.
The contest will not be in person. Because we know cats, we won’t ask you to take your cat somewhere to participate or expect them to wear a costume for the duration of the tour. Instead, people will be able to vote for their favorite cat(s)-in-costume from a photo.
This should go without saying, but we will say it anyway: No AI-generated photos will be allowed.

Start preparing your costumes! It could be a simple cat hat, or you can go all out.
Send a photo of your cat in its costume by October 3.
🎉 Start Planning Your Cat's Big Debut!
Now's the fun part! Start thinking about how you'd like to show off your cat during the tour.
Some ideas:
Add signage around your area to direct people to see your cat
Decorate your window
Create funny signs about your cat
Display photos or a "Meet the Cat" poster
Add festive decorations
Give your cat a fun theme or costume (even if you aren’t participating in the contest)
Engage visitors with tricks & treats for both cats and humans
Come up with something completely original!
Whether you keep it simple or go all out, we can't wait to see what Bowmanville's cats have in store for us.
⛈️ What about a rain date?
If the weather forces us to cancel the tour on October 10, the rain date will be the following Saturday, October 17, 3-5pm. If there is light rain, we will continue as planned. Heavy rain and storms will cause us to have to cancel.
